	The Liberty Bell is a symbol of perfection and imperfection, for the crack in the bell was put there by destiny, in order to show America that she had not a perfect nation, not a perfect liberty, but should seek a perfect liberty; to mend the crack in the Liberty Bell, then, not by outer means of just recasting it, but by recognizing that in the imperfection there is a striving for perfection.
